The CPE1000T Gigabit Ethernet Controller connects a PCI Express compliant server to a Gigabit Ethernet network. This network adapter incorporates a technology that transfers data at a maximum rate of 1 gigabit per second, 10 times the rate of Fast Ethernet adapters.

The CPE1000T targets the increased congestion experienced at the backbone and server in today’s networks and provides a future upgrade path for servers that require more bandwidth than Fast Ethernet can provide. It supports half-duplex and full duplex capability, fully compatible with the IEEE 802.3 standard for speed auto-negotiation.
